Restoration Housing on Tuesday marked the launch of its sixth overall housing restoration project and the third in the historic Belmont neighborhood of Roanoke.
The completed rehab project is designed to provide affordable rental rates for families with limited incomes, the Roanoke nonprofit organization said.
Restoration Housing is subsidizing the construction costs through federal block grant funding received from the city government, support from local foundations and the use of historic tax credits.
