Learn, Experience, Lead, Give

There are many meaningful ways to be part of the work happening at Restoration Housing. Whether you want to roll up your sleeves, step inside a historic property, help shape our future, or invest financially, there’s a place for you. Below are all the ways you can become a part of our mission.

👩‍💻 Engage

The Preserve Campaign + Luncheon

Each year, Restoration Housing hosts The Preserve Campaign – Preserving History, Serving Community, to celebrate the impact of preservation and affordable housing in our community. The month-long campaign starts with a luncheon that brings together members of our community to hear stories of transformation, see recent project updates, and learn what’s ahead. The campaign is also our biggest fundraiser of the year, and participants have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

To receive an invitation and event details, join our e-newsletter, follow us on social media, or provide your name, email address, and home address to  info@restorationhousing.org.

Event date, ticket information, and sponsorship opportunities may be found here.

Community Partnership Day

Each year, we host Community Partnership Day, our designated volunteer event focused on landscaping and site beautification. Because our restorations require compliance with federal historic preservation regulations, we are not able to use volunteer labor inside our buildings. However, volunteers play an important role in preparing our properties for the families and individuals who will call them home.

Volunteer projects may include clearing brush, laying sod, establishing planting beds, and spreading mulch. Community Partnership Day is typically held at the end of National Volunteer Week in April. To be notified when registration opens join our e-newsletter, follow us on social media, or email us at info@restorationhousing.org with your name, email, and home address to join our volunteer list.

Event date, registration deadline, and sponsorship opportunities may be found here.

Ribbon Cuttings & Hard Hat Tours

We believe transformation is powerful when you see it firsthand. We offer opportunities to tour properties before and after restoration as well as Hard Hat Tours at appropriate times during construction.

Join our e-newsletter and follow us on social media for ribbon cutting announcements or contact us at info@restorationhousing.org if you would like to schedule a private Hard Hat Tour for a group interested in supporting our mission.

*Please note that once our projects are complete, they become private homes for our residents and are no longer open for tours.

Subcommittee Appointments

Interested in digging deeper? From time to time, openings become available on our Board of Directors and subcommittees. We encourage those interested in governance to begin by serving on a subcommittee to learn more about our work and model.

If you would like to be considered, please contact us with your background and areas of interest at info@restorationhousing.org.
