Our Preserve Luncheon returns Thursday, September 11 with an engaging presentation by Dr. Stephen Loyd that will explore the inextricable link between stable housing, maternal mental health, and early childhood development. Dr. Loyd is an Internal Medicine/Addiction Medicine physician and the inspiration behind Michael Keaton’s character in Hulu’s adaptation of Dopesick by Beth Macy. He has worked tirelessly to help those with substance use disorder after his own battle with addiction. Dr. Loyd has made a significant impact in his field, serving as Chief Medical Officer at Cedar Recovery in Tennessee, Chair of the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council, and Assistant Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Use. Dr. Loyd’s expertise extends to addiction medicine in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on treating opioid-dependent pregnant women. He is currently the Director of the West Virginia Office of Drug Control Policy. We are excited for him to tell his own story of healing and work with the recovery community.
Save $10 per ticket by securing your seats by August 14!
Engage from anywhere through our month-long virtual content available on all online platforms!
